Daniel A. Hopkinson is a registered patent agent. He graduated from the University of Utah with degrees in Materials Science and Engineering (with an emphasis in the area of semiconductors), Chemistry, and Physics in 2002. He received several academic scholarships including University of Utah Honors at Entrance Scholarship and departmental scholarships. Mr. Hopkinson was on the University of Utah Deans Lists, and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and American Society of Materials (ASM). He has been admitted to practice by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to joining KNMT, Mr. Hopkinson worked as an engineer technician developing sensors based upon fuel cell technology. Mr. Hopkinson joined Kunzler & Associates in October 2000 as a technical writer and consultant.

Mr. Hopkinson fostered a great interest in computer hardware and software during his studies at the University of Utah. His skills and interests include programming in languages such as Java and C++, and building computer systems and wireless networks. His hobbies include team sports such as volleyball and basketball, and winter sports such as snowboarding, skiing, and snowmobiling. He is fluent in written and oral Spanish.
